Diadora Gara Carbon 3 Review: Built for the Big Stage

While the Azzurri have struggled to recapture past glory on the world stage, Italian brand Diadora has been busy building something of a resurgence of its own in the running world. Enter the Diadora Gara Carbon 3. Diadora’s flagship racing shoe arrives with a hefty $320 price tag and promises Italian craftsmanship, a rigorously tested midsole, a supremely comfortable upper, and, unfortunately, a colorway with all the flair of a nil-nil draw. Has Diadora improved upon the Gara Carbon 2, or has it followed the Italian national team into disappointment? Let’s find out.
LI-NING RED HARE 9 ULTRA REVIEW: WALKING THE DOG THROUGH DAILY MILES

X Brain, Butterfly, Turbo Bumblebee, Black Mamba. If you did not have one of these yo yos in the late 90s, what were you even doing? Fortunately, I managed to acquire all but the Turbo Bumblebee. Looking at eBay now, that may need to change. My middle school was completely overrun by yo yos. Recess was spent walking the dog, building Eiffel Towers, and rocking the baby. Friendships were tested over hesitation battles to see whose yo yo could spin the longest before retrieval. Eventually they got banned because, apparently, allowing kids to have high-speed spinning objects at school was not the best idea.
New Balance 1080v15 Review: Attack of the foam

Last summer Ellis and I worked our way through the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This spring has been the Star Wars saga. As I write this, we are in Revenge of the Sith, and he is impatiently waiting for the origin of the Obi-Wan “hello there” meme. Watching these with him has changed my perspective on the prequels. I used to pick them apart scene by scene, but seeing his excitement has made it easier to just enjoy them.
Saucony Ride 19 Review: The Tribe Has Spoken

The show Survivor had a chokehold on my house growing up. Every Wednesday night at 7, we all found our spot in the living room, and once it started, that was it. No talking, no distractions; season after season. I had the official book from the first season, a Survivor watch, and at school, we […]
Mizuno Neo Zen 2 Review: More Grounded, Still Fun

Thirty-one years ago, Disney released its greatest animated movie: A Goofy Movie. Rewatchable, endlessly quotable, and featuring the iconic song “I2I,” it’s a classic I’ve loved sharing with my sons. But did you know there was a sequel? Six years later, An Extremely Goofy Movie arrived. Not quite as chaotic or full of “goofy” energy, […]
Brooks Glycerin Flex Review: Gotta Run ‘Em All

Pokémon has officially taken over my house. Every room has at least one stray card, and it has quietly turned into an unspoken competition between me and Ellis. Do I have more running shoes than he has Pokémon cards? I’m not one to lose a competition, and with the cards quickly stacking up, it only […]
Icebug Järv RB9X Review: Built on Sustainability

I’ve missed the trails. There’s a peace out there that road running just can’t match. The quiet, the trees, the occasional free protein after running through a spider web. No cars to dodge, no sidewalks to trip over; but plenty of roots to keep you honest. Just time to zone out and move through the […]
Diadora Frequenza Review: Finding the Right Frequency

Running has a rhythm. It’s not just about speed but finding a pace that feels right and settling into a groove. Finding the right frequency is about syncing up with your body and the road until it all just clicks. And once it does, running becomes more like a flow and less like work. A […]
Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 Review: Road to Reliability

When it comes to TV shows, there are just too many options. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve spent more time scrolling than actually watching, only to end up with nothing that really sticks. In those moments, I always come back to something reliable: The Office, Seinfeld, Parks and Rec. Shows I know […]
Altra Torin 8 Review: Room to Run

Running is about the experience. Being present with yourself, the road or trail beneath you, and the environment around you. Altra has long aimed to support that connection by offering a natural ride that allows the feet to move freely, helping reduce stress on both body and mind. While the brand has seen some ups […]
