Saucony Ride 19 Review: The Tribe Has Spoken

The show Survivor had a chokehold on my house growing up. Every Wednesday night at 7, we all found our spot in the living room, and once it started, that was it. No talking, no distractions; season after season. I had the official book from the first season, a Survivor watch, and at school, we even made our own version of the game with tribal councils and votes that ended a few friendships.

I do not keep up with it much now, but seeing that it has reached season 50 says everything. To last that long, you have to be doing something right. The higher the number, the stronger the legacy.

That is what came to mind with the Saucony Ride. Now in its 19th version, this is Saucony’s reliable neutral daily trainer and one that has been around through just about every shift in running shoe trends. While other models have come and gone, the Ride has continued to show up year after year. But after 19 iterations, does it still earn its spot in the lineup, or is it just surviving at this point? Let’s get into it.

WRAP UP

After 19 versions, the Saucony Ride proves it is more than just surviving. It is reliable, consistent, and dependable in the ways that matter most. Nothing here is flashy or attention-grabbing, but the upper, midsole, and especially that redesigned outsole all come together to make a shoe that does exactly what you need it to. It is approachable for beginners, useful for experienced runners on easy days, and flexible enough to handle a variety of conditions without fuss. Like those long-running shows or childhood staples that never needed hype to stay relevant, the Ride 19 quietly earns its spot year after year. If you want a no-frills daily trainer that just works, this is it.

The Saucony Ride 19 is available at Run N Tri Mobile. Aaron and staff provide a premier fitting process that includes proper measurement of the length and width of your feet, arch, and leg axis. A gait analysis is performed to identify pronation or lack thereof and pressure points.

In addition, an interview is conducted to determine the best type of shoe for your needs and goals. So stop by Run N Tri Mobile so they can put you in the latest offering from Saucony or one of the nine other brands carried in the shop.
