My Favorite Race

All runners have their favorite race. That one they register for the day registration opens. The one they cannot wait to run again the moment they cross the finish line. For me, that race is the Peachtree Road Race.

Salute Red, White, and Blue

Sometimes there are finish lines that, once you cross them, you are no longer the same person. Sometimes that finish line provides more than a medal or a PR; it provides a journey of healing. That finish line for me was Salute Red, White, and Blue.

Every Run Can’t Be Remembered

Over the past seven years I have gone on nearly 1,800 runs and covered almost 11,000 miles. For someone who remembers almost everything, it is surprising how few of those runs I can actually recall. Some were highlights, some were lowlights, and plenty were completely unremarkable. Every one of them helped get me where I am today, but only a handful still live vividly in my memory. Those are the ones where I can instantly go back to that moment. I remember the smell in the air, how I was feeling, and sometimes almost every step.

From the Pitch to the Pavement

Soccer has officially taken over my summer. For the past week and a half, the World Cup has been a mainstay in my home. My mornings start with match previews, my afternoons are filled by group-stage drama. But as I’ve sat glued to the screen, I’ve realized I’m not just watching a tournament. The deeper I get into this World Cup, the more familiar it all feels. Because, in a lot of ways, the World Cup and all it represents is exactly like running.

Saucony Ride 19 Review: The Tribe Has Spoken

Ride 19

The show Survivor had a chokehold on my house growing up. Every Wednesday night at 7, we all found our spot in the living room, and once it started, that was it. No talking, no distractions; season after season. I had the official book from the first season, a Survivor watch, and at school, we […]

On Cloudsurfer Max Review: Substance in the Stratosphere?

On Cloudsurfer Max

Style is what grabs your attention first. It’s the thing that makes you stop and take a closer look, whether it’s a flashy GPS watch or a running shoe that just looks fast. Substance is what keeps you coming back. It’s the performance, the durability, the feel underfoot that proves this isn’t just a pretty […]

Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 Review: Chasing That Feeling

Saucony Endorphin Speed 5

In the movie world, sequels and remakes rarely live up to the original. It’s not always because they aren’t well-made, but because the first one showed up at the right time and left its mark. Shoes face the same battle. There’s something about that first experience, how it felt and what it meant, that’s hard […]

Mizuno Neo Zen Review: Cushioned Clarity

Mizuno Neo Zen

Mental clarity has always been a huge part of pushing through tough runs, and as I’ve shared before, running has been a tool for managing stress, reflecting, and even healing. That’s where Zen comes in. Rooted in simplicity and mindfulness, the concept of Zen feels like it aligns perfectly with the flow of running. It’s […]

London Marathon Training Weeks 11-15

Running is more than just a way to cover miles, it’s my space to clear my head, focus on my goals, and face life’s challenges. It’s where I escape the noise and also confront the tough moments head-on. Over time, running has become a way to measure my growth, both physically and mentally. Each run, […]

London Marathon Training Weeks 6-10

As I dive deeper into my marathon training and approach my wedding anniversary, it’s impossible not to reflect on how much has changed; both in my running journey and my life with Katie. This year marks a special milestone for us: our 10-year wedding anniversary. It feels fitting that this trip to London, all about […]
