Brooks Glycerin Flex

Brooks Glycerin Flex Review: Gotta Run ‘Em All

Pokémon has officially taken over my house. Every room has at least one stray card, and it has quietly turned into an unspoken competition between me and Ellis. Do I have more running shoes than he has Pokémon cards? I’m not one to lose a competition, and with the cards quickly stacking up, it only felt fair to ‘catch’ a new shoe to start the year.

New for 2026 is the Brooks Glycerin Flex. If the traditional Glycerin were a Pokémon, the Flex would be its evolution. Offering the same familiar comfort you trust but more flexible, more responsive, and a little more adventurous underfoot. Curious if this evolution is the right fit for your daily miles? Let’s find out.

IS THIS SHOE FOR YOU?

The Brooks Glycerin Flex is for runners looking for a comfortable daily trainer that still feels natural underfoot. It works best for those who are in tune with their mechanics and don’t want a shoe that overcorrects or completely isolates them from the ground. This is a solid option for daily miles and casual running, especially for runners who trust the Brooks name but want something a little different than the familiar Ghost or traditional Glycerin.

WRAP UP

The Brooks Glycerin Flex feels like the evolution the lineup needed. It keeps the comfort and reliability you expect from a Glycerin while adding flexibility that makes your feet feel more alive with each step. It’s not a shoe for chasing PRs or smashing speedwork, but rather for daily miles and anyone curious about something a little different. Between dodging Pokémon cards and logging my miles, the Flex has earned its spot in my rotation, and I can’t help but wonder what other evolutions Brooks might have in store.

Disclosure: I received this shoe at The Running Event, but all opinions are my own. Brooks had no input or review of this blog prior to being published.

The Brooks Glycerin Flex is available for pre-order and will arrive in early February at Run N Tri Mobile. Aaron and staff provide a premier fitting process that includes proper measurement of the length and width of your feet, arch, and leg axis. A gait analysis is performed to identify pronation or lack thereof and pressure points.

In addition, an interview is conducted to determine the best type of shoe for your needs and goals. So stop by Run N Tri Mobile so they can put you in the latest offering from Brooks or one of the nine other brands carried in the shop.
