On Cloudrunner 2 Review: Cirrus Contender or a Mist?

I’ve always had a tendency to discount popular things, only to eventually come around and realize I might have been wrong. So, it’s no surprise that I hadn’t rated On running shoes highly. However, seeing what the brand had to offer in 2024 started to change my perception.

The Cloudrunner 2 is On’s newest mid-stability daily trainer. Introducing changes to the three main components, the latest version appears to be a clear upgrade over its predecessor. After 100 miles of running and another 50 miles of casual wear, here’s where I stand.

WRAP UP

The Cloudrunner 2 is a versatile, stylish, and eco-friendly daily trainer. It features a 100% recycled mesh upper for support, though the long laces can be a hassle. The updated Helion superfoam midsole offers a softer ride, but some might want more forefoot cushioning on longer runs. The redesigned outsole prevents rocks from getting trapped and performs well in various conditions. With its sleek look and improved functionality, it’s an excellent choice for casual wear and shorter runs, making it ideal for travel or everyday use.

The On Cloudrunner 2 is available now at Run N Tri Mobile. Aaron and staff provide a premier fitting process that includes proper measurement of the length and width of your feet, arch, and leg axis. A gait analysis is performed to identify pronation or lack thereof and pressure points. In addition, an interview is conducted to determine the best type of shoe for your needs and goals.

So stop by Run N Tri Mobile so they can put you in On’s newest daily trainer offering or one of the nine other brands carried in the shop.
