From its inception\, the Skyway 10K has raised more than $2.6 million for the Armed Forces Families Foundation\, contributing 100% of its profits to the mission of funding infrastructure projects that support military families throughout the nation. To date\, the AFFF overall has contributed more than $4.2 million to infrastructure projects for communities across the United States. \nThe Skyway 10K is a point-to-point course from Manatee County to Pinellas County running northbound over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. While participants will complete the race on the bridge\, a second finish line is located at Tropicana Field where racers can greet friends and family\, receive their medals\, and enjoy the Post-Race Expo! \nPlease note: The northbound span of the bridge will close at 3:30AM EST on Sunday morning and will reopen at 11AM EST sharp. The southbound lanes will remain open throughout the entire race.

SUMMARY:Battleship 12k 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Publix Battleship 12K\, a patriotic run to honor those who have served\, was started in 2015 as a way to pay tribute to those heroes who defend our freedom. Many Veterans have not received the hero’s welcome that those returning from WWII received\, and it was with this in mind that the event was created. Whether someone deployed to combat or only served a brief time\, every man and woman who has put on the uniform to keep our Country free deserves to be thanked. \nFrom the patriotic opening ceremonies and National Anthem to the spirit on the course\, and finishing at Battleship Memorial Park next to the USS Alabama\, runners and walkers will experience a sense of patriotism rarely felt at an event. Upon entering the park for the homestretch runners are greeted by children handing them small American flags to finish their 12K (7.65 miles) journey. Civilians\, Active Military\, and Veterans can be heard cheering on finishers while “Thank you for your service” echoes around the finish line. \n\nStart Time: 8:00am CST\nEnd Time: 10:00am CST\nPrice: $55 $50.00 Race Fee + $3.90 SignUp Fee\nRegistration: Price increases to $55.00 after November 10\, 2022 at 11:59pm CST
