DESCRIPTION:July 30th is World Day Against Human Trafficking. Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the WORLD. How? You can sell a bag of drugs once\, but sell a child 5 to 8 times a day. \n\n\n\nTo recognize that this is an issue our state and community faces\, we wanted to create an event that helps raise funds for a survivor scholarship. For every $5 that is donated\, we pledge to run/walk a mile. The morning of the 30th we encourage individuals to come out\, runner or not\, as a way to raise awareness and pray for the victims and survivors that face this horrific crime. We plan to kick off the event at 7:30am with praise and worship with our run/walk following around 8am.\n\n\n\nThis event is being hosted by Stopping Traffick and Run Your Story. Whether you want to lace up your running shoes or donate to help raise awareness\, we encourage you to participate in any way you can. Together\, we can make a difference. We can be the change. DESCRIPTION:Lace-up your running shoes for a gold medal weekend at Ragnar Trail Atlanta April 21-22\, 2023. Only 30 miles from Atlanta and a hop\, skip\, and jump from Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport\, but with a feel a world away from city life\, this scenic course is set at the Georgia International Horse Park\, a former Olympic venue. \nEach member of your team will complete three trail loops — each a beautiful run on its own. These trails feature smooth single tracks\, challenging climbs\, and spectacular descents surrounded by Georgia pine forests and bridge-covered streams. Meander along the Yellow River\, tackle the twists of an Olympic mountain bike race course as well as tour an Olympic Equestrian Cross Country course\, swoop through curves\, and bound over granite slabs. \nCombine the adventure of racing through the star-filled night with the camaraderie and excitement of Ragnar Village. It’s a weekend romp through the woods that none of you will forget. \nTeams are invited to join us early to start the Ragnar Trail adventure on Thursday for a bonus night of fun with your friends!
