DESCRIPTION:July 30th is World Day Against Human Trafficking. Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the WORLD. How? You can sell a bag of drugs once\, but sell a child 5 to 8 times a day. \n\n\n\nTo recognize that this is an issue our state and community faces\, we wanted to create an event that helps raise funds for a survivor scholarship. For every $5 that is donated\, we pledge to run/walk a mile. The morning of the 30th we encourage individuals to come out\, runner or not\, as a way to raise awareness and pray for the victims and survivors that face this horrific crime. We plan to kick off the event at 7:30am with praise and worship with our run/walk following around 8am.\n\n\n\nThis event is being hosted by Stopping Traffick and Run Your Story. The Pensacola Half Marathon starts at our Maritime park behind the Blue Wahoos stadium overlooking Pensacola Bay. You will loop through the historic North Hill community just before crossing the Bayou Chico bridge capturing marina views of both Bayou Chico and Pensacola bay. Next\, the course takes you to Pensacola’s downtown through our Historic District before returning you back to Maritime Park. The Pensacola Half Marathon will soon become a true gem for the Southeast Running community and a MUST-DO event for Columbus Day weekend. \nLocation: The race starts and finishes beside the Wahoo’s Stadium Maritime Park 301 W Main St Pensacola\, FL 32502 \nCourse Time Limit: There is a 4-hour course limit to complete the half marathon race (~18:00/mile pace). DESCRIPTION:The Tammany Turkey Trot takes to the streets of Covington again on Thanksgiving morning.  Ready to experience the history of downtown Covington\, or show it off to your visiting family and friends?  Here’s your chance to #EarnYourTurkey! \nAthletes will start their Thanksgiving run just north of downtown Covington. From there\, both 5K and 5-mile runners will make their way through downtown and into the splendor of moss-covered trees that line the streets. Close to St. Paul’s High School runners will head slightly west before turning north.  From there\, it’s a return trip for the finish line at the St. Tammany Courthouse! \n5 Mile runners will finish their Turkey “tour” with a scenic jaunt further south past more beautiful homes before rejoining with the 5K course and heading north back to downtown. \nNew in 2023 is a 1 Mile Fun Run option that will start at 7:30am prior to the 5K and 5 Mile Run.

DESCRIPTION:Benefits:\nMobile Area Blind Association\nOrganized by: \nSaraland Lions Club (https://www.saralandlionsclub.com/)\nLocation:  \nAmelia Park\, 716 Mae St\, Saraland\, AL 36571\nStart times:  \n5K will start at 8:00 AM\nFun Run will start at 9:00 AM\nDistances:  \nCertified 5K course (AL22034JE) through Saraland neighborhoods starting and finishing near Amelia Park.  The fun run follows an out and back course.  The courses are fairly flat; some gently inclines.  Water provided along the course.\nRegistration: \nMail in registration\, postmarked by November 18 or pre-register in person by 12 PM\, November 22\, at McCoy Outdoor\, Run-N-Tri\, or Fleet Feet in Mobile.  Day of race registration will be from 6:30 – 7:45 AM at the pavilion in Amelia Park.\nRegister online at  until 7 AM November 24.\nAwards:\n5K:  Top three male and female overall\, top male and female masters\, grandmasters\, senior-grandmasters\, legends and walkers.  Top three in age groups of 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79\, 80 & over.\nRibbons for one-mile finishers.\nShirts: \nParticipants pre-registered by November 10 are guaranteed a t-shirt on race day.  Late registrants will receive t-shirts as long as the supply lasts.\nPost-Race:  \nFood\, beverages\, awards\, and other activities provided for all race participants.
