You can sell a bag of drugs once\, but sell a child 5 to 8 times a day. \n\n\n\nTo recognize that this is an issue our state and community faces\, we wanted to create an event that helps raise funds for a survivor scholarship. For every $5 that is donated\, we pledge to run/walk a mile. The morning of the 30th we encourage individuals to come out\, runner or not\, as a way to raise awareness and pray for the victims and survivors that face this horrific crime. We plan to kick off the event at 7:30am with praise and worship with our run/walk following around 8am.\n\n\n\nThis event is being hosted by Stopping Traffick and Run Your Story. The Pensacola Half Marathon starts at our Maritime park behind the Blue Wahoos stadium overlooking Pensacola Bay. You will loop through the historic North Hill community just before crossing the Bayou Chico bridge capturing marina views of both Bayou Chico and Pensacola bay. Next\, the course takes you to Pensacola’s downtown through our Historic District before returning you back to Maritime Park. The Fun Run is 1 mile and will start and finish at the 5K finish line. \nRegistration- Register online at events.com until 7:45 the morning of the race. October 28\, 2023. \nEarly Packet Pickup- 5-7 pm on October 27\, 2023 at the Gazebo in Elberta Park \nEntry Fee- Adult $25 – Child (12 and under) $20 \nFees include race day shirts only if paid by October 14\, 2023 (we will have a limited number available the day of for race day registers) \nAwards- 5K- Top Male and Female runner\, Top Male and Female Walker (must walk the entire race)\, top 3 male and female in age categories – 9 and under\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75+. FUN RUN – Top 3 overall boys and girls (must be registered for FUN RUN) \nPost Race Party- Elberta German Sausage Festival\, race packets will include vouchers for 2 drinks and 1 sausage. \nAwards- The Centennial Bank Stage at 10 am
